Chiropractic Care
Chiropractic care works for all ages and offers a unique, non-invasive approach to health care that respects the body’s own innate ability to heal itself. In addition to helping people with neck and back pain, it also helps wholeness seeking individuals and families live more pain free and vital lives where they can enjoy feeling more connected and whole. Gentle, specific and intentional spinal adjustments are performed with the intention of restoring spinal alignment and releasing any aberrant neural tension patterns that are interfering with the body's natural and normal ability to heal itself.
Acupuncture/TCM
Acupuncture/TCM views health problems that people are experiencing as being caused by disruption to energy pathways in your body called meridians. This centuries-old healing procedure focuses on the integrity of bodily systems, not specific conditions. Traditional Chinese Medicine is based on an ancient philosophy that describes the universe, and the body, in terms of two opposing forces: yin and yang. When these forces are in balance, the body is healthy. Energy, called "qi" (pronounced "chee") flows along specific pathways, called meridians, throughout the body. This constant flow of energy keeps the yin and yang forces balanced. However, if the flow of energy gets blocked, like water getting stuck behind a dam, the disruption can lead to pain, lack of function, or illness. Acupuncture therapy can release blocked qi in the body and stimulate function, evoking the body’s natural healing response through various physiological systems.
Registered Massage Therapy
Massage therapy consists primarily of hands-on manipulation of the soft tissues of the body, specifically, the muscles, connective tissue, tendons, ligaments and joints for the purpose of optimizing health.
Massage therapy treatment has a therapeutic effect on the body and optimizes health and well-being by acting on the muscular, nervous and circulatory systems. Physical function can be developed, maintained and improved; and physical dysfunction and pain and the effects of stress can be relieved or prevented through the use of Massage Therapy.
